Is your Plan B real, or just a name on a spreadsheet?

A supply alternative is real only when it can be activated under known conditions. A supplier name alone does not protect production.

Before treating an alternative as ready, check five elements:

• A product and specification compatible with the actual use.
• Verified capacity and lead time for the required volume.
• Documentation acceptable to quality, destination and end customer.
• Comparable commercial, logistics and payment terms.
• A defined contact, decision and next step.

If one element is missing, there is a possibility — not yet an operational Plan B.
